Announcements

Christopher Dinno is the Chief Planning Officer at Sonoma State University, although he sounded more like a proud parent during a recent tour of Stevenson Hall, the school’s largest academic building.

The Stevenson Hall Renovation project is underway and good progress has been made on the demolition, however, the construction schedule is delayed and will impact the renovation’s completion date, move-in, and opening for the fall semester 2022.

This first issue of the Stevenson Hall Renovation newsletter is out now!  This newsletter will be produced by TruBeck Construction on a weekly basis.  TruBeck Construction is the Collaborative Design-Build Contractor for the Stevenson Hall Renovation project.

The Stevenson Hall building design and project preparations have continued to move forward with support from the state and CSU system offices.

In an effort to collect preferences from the campus community about furniture in the renovated Stevenson Hall we are having a furniture fair and have created an accompanying survey. The furniture fair will be held on the first floor of Salazar Hall from Monday, Nov.

Welcome back Seawolves! Over the past several months, faculty and staff have participated in four design sessions with EHDD and Truebeck, our Stevenson Hall Design/Build team. The goal of those meetings was to refine designs for a 21st century, state-of-the-art teaching and learning spaces for our campus community. Stevenson Hall is being re-imagined to include collaborative and informal learning spaces as well as 17 general purpose classrooms and computer labs on the first floor.

Sonoma State University’s Stevenson Hall Renovation Task Force is inviting the campus community to take part in an online survey designed to assist in the refinement of the building program as identified in the 2018 Feasibility Study . The survey will remain open until May 3.
