RE: Design-build team chosen for Stevenson project
The Stevenson Hall Renovation Evaluation Committee is very excited to announce the selection of Truebeck Construction and EHDD as the collaborative design-build general contractor/architectural team for the Stevenson project. They will guide us through the next steps in the Stevenson Hall renovation programming, design documentation and construction process. While all the proposals received were of top quality, the committee agreed that Truebeck Construction and EHDD most closely met our needs, including the creation of state-of-the art teaching, learning and student support spaces with an emphasis on sustainability. Truebeck and EHDD comprises a talented team of high-performing design professionals who actively listen and collaborate and are experienced with higher education design and renovation projects.
The University community has been preparing for this exciting project for a number of years. Part of that preparation has involved the collaborative creation of the Stevenson Hall Feasibility Study to describe the campus vision, goals and needs for the building. As we move forward with Truebeck and EHDD, the feasibility study will be the foundation for additional collaboration through individual department/school workshops as well as public forums. The goal of this outreach is to allow for input from all campus constituencies as the final building program is designed. We expect these discussions to occur from March to May.
Once campus input is received, Truebeck and EHDD will begin the design and program for the future building. Building construction is slated to begin in the summer of 2020, with completion of the renovation planned for summer 2022. More detailed schedules can be found by visiting the scheduling page.
