We wish we were able to gather in person to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Stevenson Hall Renovation Project. While we cannot gather in person, we want to take a moment with you virtually to recognize the impact Stevenson Hall has had on our history and the important role it will play in our future.
The renovation of Stevenson Hall connects to our Strategic Plan and Strategic Priorities by promoting Student Engagement and Success, Academic Excellence and Innovation, and Transformative Impact. The renovated Stevenson Hall is designed for a 21st century academic learning environment and will provide educational and meeting spaces, addressing the needs of our students, faculty and staff. The Schools of Business and Economics, Education and Social Sciences, and the spaces they occupy, will be reimagined to create a complete experience for students and faculty in an environment designed to stimulate teaching and learning, and encourage collaboration. The new classroom and lecture space configurations will be state-of-the-art and will incorporate the latest campus furniture and technology standards to support teaching and learning. The Stevenson Hall renovation is designed to a LEED Gold sustainability standard, taking advantage of natural sunlight throughout, using green materials and enhancing energy efficiency.
