Are any additional campus spaces being considered for use as student learning space? If yes, will they have the necessary technology (wifi, power, printing, etc…)?
Will the current policy on student-only access to the Library study rooms be maintained during the Stevenson surge?
Will I be able to get a key to the exterior doors of Schulz?
Will the faculty and staff workstations and touchdown stations be secured behind a locking door?
Many different non-library events occur in the Library. Since the surge will absorb many of the larger rooms that are used for campus events what other campus spaces have been identified to host these events?
One alternative to utilizing Schulz for surge space is to lease portable buildings. Why was Schulz chosen as the preferred option?
With the additional faculty and staff on the second floor of Schulz the noise level traveling to the third floor “quiet study area” is a concern. Are there options to mitigate the noise?
What is the anticipated timeline for each department/area moves? Can those be shared publicly and updated as timelines adjust?
What plans are there for lab spaces (both teaching labs and research labs) during the remodel? Similarly, what plans are there for conference rooms availability?
Will there be private space in Schulz for faculty to hold confidential or sensitive conversations with students?
