Stevenson Hall Task Force Group established monthly updates

  1. Meeting Minutes No. 25, dated June 23, 2020, review action items.
  2. Update on Collaborative Design-Build Team Meetings and Other:
    1. General Purpose Classroom Focus Group Meeting updates,
      • Associate Professor and Chairperson Debora Paterniti has wrapped up, prior to the shelter in place order the General Purpose Classroom (furniture layouts, types and A/V) Focus Groups. A high level Summary Report is PENDING.
      • EHDD to begin furniture package documentation for bid late Fall 2020
    2. TrueBeck and EHDD, Contract Documents Phase complete, submittal to the Chancellor's Office and third party agencies for review and approval.
    3. Faculty and staff temporary surge space moves and other (Reference https://covid19.sonoma.edu/ for campus COVID-19 Safety protocols while on campus):
      • Phased moving of faculty and staff assisted by NCS Moving Service (by department), June 2020 moves through September 2020. Packed boxes for remote instruction and work, moving home or to Schulz.
        • Cargo containers (five) delivered to campus.
      • NCS Moving Services to assist faculty and staff in moving their personal furniture to the West loading dock area for scheduled waiting faculty or staff personal vehicle. June 2020 moves through September 2020.
        • Sign-up sheet released to AM's for distribution to faculty and staff (June, July, August through mid-September deadline to be September 18, 2020 to be out of the building).
      • Remaining existing office furniture and other to be moved out of Stevenson Hall starting in September through October 2020.
      • Existing IT Equipment to be removed from Stevenson Hall starting in October 2020.
      • Facilities Operations to begin removal of all items to be salvaged (hardware, doors, other) mid- September through October 2020.
      • Art Department to begin removal of campus art from Stevenson Hall beginning in June to no later than August 2020.
  3. Project Planning Update:
    1. Stevenson Hall Renovation Project Website (A&F). http://web.sonoma.edu/afd/
    2. On Campus Permanent and Surge Space Planning efforts updated:
      • Reference Schedule Agenda Item No. 4 below;
  4. Key Mile Stone Dates (build-out and Moves) for the Project, are but not limited to:
    1. Salazar: Center for Teaching and Educational Technology, Enrollment Services (Office of the Registrar, Office of Admissions), Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Center for Community Engagement and Visitors Center – Academic Affairs, 1st Floor, PROJECT COMPLETE;
    2. Salazar, Cooperage, Zinfandel, Schulz – Classroom Technology Upgrades, PROJECT COMPLETE;
    3. Salazar – Studio Blue, Primitivo and The STAR, 1st Floor, PROJECT COMPLETE;
    4. Salazar – Office of the President, Strategic Communications and Advancement, 2nd Floor, moving August 24, 2020, PROJECT COMPLETE;
    5. Salazar – Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs, 2nd Floor move to A&F suite temporality, August 2020, MOVES COMPLETE;
    6. Phase – I: Collaborative Design – Build Design pre-construction, contract documents through approvals and Bid, tentatively start Spring 2019 to October 2020;
    7. TrueBeck contractor mobilization scheduled for late October 2020, when construction trailers, pedestrian controls and security fencing are scheduled to move on-site.
    8. Phase –II: Construction (Demolition Phase scope of work), tentatively November 2020;
    9. Phase –II: Construction Complete/Move-in, tentatively Summer 2022;
    10. Stevenson Hall, Grand Opening Dedication tentatively Fall 2022.
  5. Groundbreaking Ceremony date and time to be determined.
